Our No-Student-Left-Behind Model
The Science Behind the Teaching
At Streamside Coven Co., fly fishing is taught the way people actually learn — by breaking complex skills into clear, manageable steps and focusing on them intentionally.
Instead of asking students to make sense of loose analogies and metaphors, big goals are broken into small, achievable skills. Each one is clearly defined, practiced, and built upon with immediate feedback. As those skills connect, confidence grows and frustration fades until support is no longer needed.
Our instructors teach you how to learn — and how to recognize progress as it’s happening — so you can celebrate what’s working and adjust quickly when something isn’t. In the end, you’ll know how to think through strategy, adapt to changing river conditions, and solve problems on your own, long after the lesson ends.
The Tools For Support
Student Workbook
Lectures and hands-on workshops are supported by an in-depth workbook where students can track their progress, fill in important information, and complete strategy-building activities.
Custom Goals
Students fill out a skills survey and receive goals and curriculums tailored to their exact needs. Instructors help students select the best time of year to work those specific desired skills and take students to the perfect section of the river so that students get the most out of their education.

Strategy Blueprints
Our educational offerings give students a clear strategy blueprint for approaching the river. Rather than a rigid, one-size-fits-all system, this blueprint provides a flexible process that helps anglers think through conditions, make decisions, and create custom solutions to each new on-river puzzle.
