Puget Sound is a diabolical kerfuffle of information that seems so overwhelming to digest. But really it comes down to beaches and how tides move across their individual topography.

Beach study days accomplish the following:

1. Hang out time. Get out of your house and leave your brain at home for a little while.

2. Learn how to differentiate a good beach from a lifeless beach based on topography and location.

3. Learn how to keep a detailed beach journal that makes beach selection easy and lets you get the most out of your precious hours of fishing you afford yourself.

Expect to sit at a beach for 3-4 hours as the tide moves in or out. We will be looking for specific formations, water textures, and presence of trout.

This is half hang out, half field trip as we observe nature in action to calm our souls and up our fishing game.
