This school curriculum is based on leading you into a set of skills that I use every time I fish. You’ll learn how to fish a dry fly from reading water to casting, presentation and hook set practice.

Here’s What’s Included:

  • 1 hour designated casting lesson

  • 1 hour reading water workshop

  • 1 hour mending and learning how to predict your mends

  • 1 hour learning to elongate your drift without dragging your fly

  • 30 minutes hookset and play practice

  • 30 minute lunch (not provided)

  • 1 hour fly selection

  • Remaining time practicing skills with purpose with guidance from instructors.

Here’s What to bring:

  • A lunch, snacks, and plenty of water

  • A notebook and pen. This is essential. You absolutely need these.

  • Weather appropriate clothing

  • Sunglasses for eye protection

  • The rod and reel you plan to use in your personal fly fishing. Let me know if you need to use one!

  • Waders OR wading boots with thick socks. By June you should be able to wet wade comfortably.
