This school curriculum is based on leading you into a set of skills that I use every time I fish. You’ll learn how to fish a dry fly from reading water to casting, presentation and hook set practice.
Here’s What’s Included:
1 hour designated casting lesson
1 hour reading water workshop
1 hour mending and learning how to predict your mends
1 hour learning to elongate your drift without dragging your fly
30 minutes hookset and play practice
30 minute lunch (not provided)
1 hour fly selection
Remaining time practicing skills with purpose with guidance from instructors.
Here’s What to bring:
A lunch, snacks, and plenty of water
A notebook and pen. This is essential. You absolutely need these.
Weather appropriate clothing
Sunglasses for eye protection
The rod and reel you plan to use in your personal fly fishing. Let me know if you need to use one!
Waders OR wading boots with thick socks. By June you should be able to wet wade comfortably.
